My Teaching Philosophy Essay -- Education Teaching Essays

My Teaching PhilosophyI think my training philosophy is best defined as a combination of progressivism and brotherly reconstructionism. David Sadker, author of Teachers Schools and Society, defines the progressive educator as someone who, () facilitates education by helping students formulate meaningful questions and devise strategies to answer those questions, turn social reconstructionism emphasizes cooperation, less conflict, and a better quality of life. These two training philosophies in combination seem to both fit my view on how learning should be facilitated and how it should be based. Progressive teachers tend to, like myself, witness for inventive, new, and creative ways to see a problem. In putting students into groups they reclaim there are many possible solutions to problems that they would not likely commence pattern out on their own. I also advocate the progressive approach because I think it promotes children to think for themselves, in that if everyone is no t researching the same subject or solution they are less likely to depend on someone else to supply the answer, and mo...
